Exercise Class

Ensuring that our Members are using proper form and alignment during our exercise classes is very important! We don’t want our Members to be injured and want to maximize their workouts! To do this, we make sure to give modifications to anyone who needs one so that they can keep moving and aren’t hindered. We also make it a point to explain which muscles we are working on, why we are working on them, and how they assist with everyday tasks!

Mardi Gras

Happy Mardi Gras! Our Members had a fun Fat Tuesday decorating masks and stopping by to-go Happy Hour! Each of our attendees snagged a bottle of wine to take home, candy, and beads! Perfect to complement the Mardi Gras virtual celebration happening on our in-house tv network!

B-Ball

Boom Shakalaka!! Our Members continue to get better and better the more that they practice on our basketball hoop! Mr. C was going for the record!!

Aquarium

On Monday February 22nd we took another group to the Mystic Aquarium! This is one of the neatest marine aquariums as it is one of only two US facilities holding Stellar sea lions, and it has the only beluga whales in New England! Our Members enjoyed meeting Mystic’s famous belugas and exploring the indoor/outdoor exhibits.

We had a private stingray encounter where residents were able to feed and pet the stingrays. The string rays painted a canvas as a part of their daily enrichment program which we got to take home with us.  It was a day of fun and learning about how we can care for our ocean and planet through conservation, education, and research!

Pickleball

It’s always a fun time at the Guilford Racquet & Swim Club! We love playing pickleball and our instructor Wendy is awesome!

Beach Boardwalk on a Sunny Afternoon

We were happy, happy, happy to get some sunshine after a few weeks of chilly temperatures! On Friday our Members enjoyed a beautiful walk on the boardwalk and beach at Hammonasset State Park to end the week!
